A nice camera bag is not hard to find, a great bag comes across rarely and a finely crafted leather messenger from Ona will last you a lifetime. Ever since we picked up a camera we have had bags from all major brands, non of them have ever lasted more than a year before they started getting in the way and ended up in the skip.
Ever since picking up the Ona Brixton truffle, it has been with me everywhere! Throughout my entire Fujifilm ambassador career it has supported me during presentations, workshops and client meeting carrying all the essentials and more. It has aged just like I have and is becoming more and more attractive with every scuff.
A camera bag should be more than just a vessel to protect your photographic tools, it should not be intrusive, has to be comfortable to carry and provide quick access to the camera when the situation requires you to become spontaneous.
It is big enough to carry my 15" macbook pro, two camera bodies, four lenses, knick knacks and my travel planner / journal. There is nothing more the adventuring photographer needs and from the images you can probably tell it has been around the block and made it back safely.
Yes the bags are expensive, but so is everything made to last. It is an investment worth making if like me, you have been through too many bags to count and have never managed to settle down. It was love at first sight and our bond has only grown stronger.
